Director's Message

Statistics is the essence of good Governance by way of promoting evidence based decision making process in the Government administrative system. Economic principles and Econometric applications are the basic foundation for wealth creation and its redistribution in a welfare state. Combination of knowledge and skill of Statistics and Economics is the corner stone of efficient planning.

Regional Institute of Planning, Applied Economics &Statistics, is constantly moving in the path to built up a rich human resource base of Odisha Statistics and Economics Service Officers and Odisha subordinate Statistics and Economics Service Officers of Directorate of Economics and Statistics under the planning and Co-ordination Department, Government of Odisha.Besides the Institute is striving to reach out to the officers and staff working in the other departments for the capacity building in the field of Statistics, Economics and Planning.

This Institute is conducting training programme in the areas ofStatistics, Applied Economics,Planning, Office Management & Soft skills, General Software, Application Software, Scheme Based programme of Directorate of Economics and Statistics, etc.

The faculty members and the support staff of this institute are constantly making efforts to enhance the quality and the content of training programmes. We would like that the officers and staff of Govt. of Odisha should take maximum advantage of these training programmes which are announced in this website and offer their valuable suggestions through this interactive website.
